What was the highlight of Lancaster Ouaga 2000

Solid and reliable business hotel in Ouagadougou.

The rooms are decently sized, the beds are comfortable and the food is quite good. The staff in the hotel are helpful. The security process is efficient.

In my room the carpet was damaged, it looked like the door frames were beginning to rot, hot water was only available sporadically and the shower felt like it could come off the wall at any moment.

A lot of money but arguably above the local competition

Spacious room. Good wifi. Breakfast staff welcoming and smiling. Nice lobby. Front desk staff and security team well mannered.

The bottom sheet was stained and there was body hair in the bed. I slept on top. Very poor bedding given the price of the room. The carpet in the entrance to the bedroom was in bad condition. Very limited satellite tv. All French. Food in the coffee shop was high volume but very poor. Very poor cooking... Fish too salty. I can cook better myself. Staff in the coffee shop are impolite and seem bad tempered. Guinness was on the drinks list but not available. Wine prices exorbitant.

Great breakfast, lots of choice, fresh and very friendly staff. Very big rooms, lots of space

The price is high. The value seems to lie mostly in the sense of security the hotel offers. Internet rather slow

Not enjoyable

Clean hotel, location is perfect. That’s all.

Only one bottle of water in the room. Only one towel for shower in the room. Wifi is very very bad and you need to take wifi coupon to use. Service from the employees is not welcoming nor enjoyable. The people I had to deal with didn’t show empathy at all. The breakfast is very very basic when I compared to other hotel in the region. Price is definitely too high for what you get.

Overpriced.

It is well located and has relatively good security. Staff are generally helpful.

Was in Room 808 and the hallway outside stank of smoke even though it is a non-smoking property (save for balconies and one area at the front of the hotel. Decor is very worn and they forgot to clean my room one day.

It's a decent mix of a large business hotel with downtown facilities. Definitel bring gym/swim gear

The breakfast is one of the best in Ouaga, and the pool area is good with surprisingly decent N'argeelah. It has the better hotel gym in Ouaga. The laundry and cleaning are quite accommodating.

The WiFi drops out a lot, which is understandable in Ouaga. The reception can be strangely a little grumpy and they had decided to paint the gym, which is a temporary annoyance. The A/C in rooms isn't ideal, actually barely works, and the beds aren't exactly comfortable.

Well I have not experienced other hotels in Ouagadougou... but I have seen many others in Africa. In other words, maybe it's the 5 hotel in Ouaga but compared to other regions etc, it's a 3-4 star.

The hotel was very nice, rooms were large and comfortable. In terms of city, the hotel was above average. Its swimming pool and other facilities were good. Its security was also very tight

Not bad, one of the best given the limited choice in Ouaga

Plenty of space - rooms are large. Also, some very nice local artworks on display at the hotel.

Hotel is a bit tired, and wasn't very busy. No provision of bottled water in the rooms, except for first day. No tea & coffee making facilities. Bathroom doesn't have a separate shower, just a "shower in bath", which is never satisfactory.
